Hello Loyal Readers and Friends:

The july heat wave in the Brockton Area seems to be breaking today. Heavy Rain was predicted to hit the area today (sat., July 10th, 2010) and tomorrow, (Sunday, July 11th, 2010).

I was thinking of the Haunted Swimming Hole that i am doing my research on. The swimming hole is in a park called D.W. Field Park, located in the City of Champions, Brockton, Massachusetts. According to local Legend, the popular swimming hole was a mecca to the local population. Families would picnic at the Ellis Brett Pond, deep inside the Park. Buses from Boston would drive the 20 miles south to Brockton, where their passengers would disembark to spend a hot summer day bathing in the sun, pic-nicking, and swimming at the scenic water hole. Evidence still exists of happier times, the concrete platform where swimmers could jump or dive into the cool waters below. The concrete platform still has the remains of the base metal for the diving board, and ladders where the children would climb up from the water below.
